Performance Workshops

Power Memorization Techniques

This workshop is available as a half-day or full day workshop

After completing this workshop, participants will:

  • Have a working definition of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic-Programming) and how NLP helps enhance the ability to memorize material more efficiently
  • Have a working understanding of  what the terms “Visual”, “Auditory” and “Kinesthetic” mean as they relate to enhancing the ability to memorize material more efficiently
  • Watch as Mr. Kraus works with volunteers, assesses their primary learning modality or modalities (“visual”, “auditory”, “kinesthetic”) and guides them through the learning process for memorization techniques tailored to their particular needs.
  • Have the opportunity to sign up for individual coaching sessions during the remaining half-day or full day of the workshop.

Accolades:

  • Laura Heydt-Adams: “After learning Mr. Kraus’ techniques I was able to completely memorize  a scene from La Traviata in about an hour!”
  • Rafael Moras:  “”Mr. Kraus’ approach to memorizing repertoire has changed the way in which I prepare my material for everything from operas to recitals to speaking engagements. It is a method which feels tailored to my own particular way of learning and as a performer I cannot thank him enough for having introduced me to it. His method of integrating my own body’s natural propensity for energetic movement with the dramatic interpretation of text in order to recall material more effectively made  memorizing a particularly challenging scene from Carmen into an efficient, very manageable process. “

More to Come…
