Pianist, Collaborative Artist, & Teacher
Online Lessons
As someone endorsed by Peter Feuchtwanger to teach his methods and techniques I welcome the opportunity to work with students live, in person, online, or both to help you as he did me. With the right technology and the right teaching techniques, we can work together to help you play the piano in the most efficient and healthy way, keeping you safe from injuries and enabling you to reach your potential. In the following sections I've given you some of the details on how we can do this together. If it looks like something that can work for you, PLEASE use the GET IN TOUCH form, and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Three Requirements for Successful Online Teaching
Two of the requirements for teaching online lessons successfully relate to the teacher who must know how to use the right teaching techniques and the right technology. The third factor relates to the student: can this person learn online successfully?
Teaching Technique: A successful online teacher must be able to modify in person techniques. As an example, one thing I cannot do "online" that I can do in an in person session is to interact physically with a student, for example, placing their hand on the keyboard in a certain way. However, even with the simplest one camera set-ups, it is possible for me to see and hear what is necessary for me to work with a student to achieve the same results. I have been teaching online since 2020 and continue to hone and refine my teaching techniques.
Technology: Some of the technology that was developed at the time of the pandemic lock-down continues to be highly useful. I use OBS to front-end ZOOM to teach my students who either live too far to see me live, in person, often (if ever), or simply want to avoid a trip through the DMV area traffic for an in person session. Below is a picture of my workspace for those sessions. My students and I can see and here each other clearly with this arrangement. Feel free to contact me using the GET IN TOUCH form at the bottom of this page for details.

Student Progress Report
Here is an example of one student's progress after a year. He was self-taught until he started with me. We are both delighted with the results of our work together in this way.
